The Agricultural Machinery Testing and Evaluation Center (AMTEC) conducted its 2024 Holistic Development and Capacity-Building Activity which was attended by all its staff to assess the past and ongoing operations, and strategize for the ways forward of the Center last October 4-5, 2024, in Bauan, Batangas.

During the two-day event, multiple activities were organized to foster collaboration, and teamwork among the staff. It includes knowledge-sharing discussions and other team-building events that aim to help the workforce plan and strengthen the bond between co-workers.

This event is part of the Center’s efforts to continuously improve internal operations and maintain the quality of all its services, in support of the University’s future-proofing program. As a dynamic public service unit of UPLB and a vital Center for the government’s mechanization program, the Center constantly adapts to the ever-evolving demands of the agriculture sector.

Led by Dr. Arthur L. Fajardo, AMTEC Director, the staff was composed of test engineers, skilled workers, and the administrative staff that handles the two main laboratories and the entire operations of the Center. In his message, during one of the activities, Dr. Fajardo encouraged the staff to continue the public service that AMTEC has provided over the years despite some long-standing and potential challenges.

AMTEC is the premiere and reference testing center for agricultural and fisheries machinery testing and evaluation in the Philippines. With its mandates according to the AFMech Law and its crucial role in University instruction, AMTEC prepares its staff for the new year ahead of sustaining its genuine service to the people.
